R.L. Seale's 10 Year Old Barbados Export Proof Rum is a premium rum produced and bottled in Barbados by multi-award winning Foursquare Distillery. Distiller Richard Seale - the fourth generation of this family business and one of Barbados’ oldest trading houses - fiercely eschews the addition of sugar or flavourings, so this is drier than many of its counterparts. It is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of ten years prior to blending and bottling at the Export Proof of 46% abv. The nose is distinctively nutty with hints of fig and floral spice. On the palate there is a delicious butternut taste with light vanilla and dried fruits that lead on to a lingering finish, with hints of roasted almonds, cinnamon and toffee.
