The 2024 growing season in Kumeu was one of dramatic concentration. A cold snap during flowering in late 2023 naturally thinned the crop, resulting in yields that were down by over 30%. However, the summer that followed was near-perfect - dry, warm, but never excessively hot - allowing the fruit to ripen with incredible physiological maturity while retaining that signature Kumeu acidity.
