Erigone (the beautiful nymph who was seduced by Bacchus in Greek mythology) Jakot Superiore 1er Cru, from Vini Noüe-Marinič, is made from the local Jakot (Friulano) white grape, formerly known as Tocai Friulano and also known as Sauvignonasse or Sauvignon Vert. The vines are now on average 60+ years old and planted at an altitude of 190 meters. All grapes are hand harvested and at the winery the wine is aged in a combination of stainless steel (80%)and barrique (20%) for up to 12 months. The resulting wine is powerful and complex with spicy, mineral and smoky notes. The palate is dense and fleshy with great length and structure.
