The Domaine du Pélican Arbois Trois Cépages is a delicious red wine made from Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard grapes. As with many of the Pélican wines, this is fermented in vats before being aged in oak foudres. François starts with Pinot grapes which are always the ripest, then adds Poulsard and then Trousseau to make this red wine blend. The delicious fresh fruit comes from the Pinot Noir, the structure from the Trousseau, and the body from the Poulsard. There are spicy, fruity notes in the nose leading to fresh acidity and berried fruit on the palate. The wine finishes with great fruit and energy.
