The Château Brane-Cantenac 2ème Cru Classé Margaux 2008 is a composition of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (28%) and Cabernet Franc (2%) grapes grown solely on Terrace 4, (Brane's iconic plateau) resulting in a silky, textured, elegant and powerful style of Margaux. Matured for 18 months in French oak (70% new) the wine displays a delicate nose of black fruits, liquorice, and eucalyptus with a touch  of fresh leather. The palate is elegant, with good concentration and rounded silky tannins with smoky notes to finish.[#intro]Mature 2nd Growth Margaux & one of the most complex wines of the appellation...[/intro]
