The Isle of Arran distillery is famous for producing a beautifully clean, unpeated, and naturally fruity spirit. For this release, the distillers have taken their classic island malt and given it a luxurious secondary maturation in Portuguese Ruby Port casks. The result is an absolute triumph. The port wood has not only given the whisky a beautiful, deep bronze colour, but it has also completely transformed the flavour profile, adding layers of rich, sweet fruit. Pour a dram, and you are immediately met with warm, inviting aromas of ripe red berries, baked apples, and a gentle touch of vanilla.
