Rimapere means 'five arrows' in Maori. Taken from the Rothschild coat-of-arms, these arrows are enhanced buy a blue colour reminiscent of the Wairau River. Rimapere Pinot Noir is a single vineyard wine that is wonderfully aromatic, with notes of cracked black pepper, red cherry, wood smoke, earthy spice and cranberry. There’s a freshness on the palate which indicates youth, yet this wine is definitely ready to drink but will evolve in the cellar.
