V.I.T. stands for stands for 'visitare interiore terrae' - meaning 'visit the innermost earth' - a part of the mythological motto in finding the philosopher stone. Here, it represents Michel Chapoutier's search for the best terroir in Côtes-du-Roussillon and finding this 70 year old vineyard surrounded by garrigue, from which this magnificent blend originates. Grenache brings its richness and complexity and Syrah its texture and tannic structure, to create this silky smooth wine with notes of ripe elderberry, blackberry, pepper, spice and garrigue.
